Domande frequenti

Is content sent to external cloud services?

No. The transcript is fully downloaded and processed on-premises using Ollama on the server (VPS Hetzner) of the site. No content is sent to third-party AI providers such as OpenAI or Anthropic.

Why can't some videos be summarized?

The tool requires a video to have a transcript or subtitles available on YouTube (automatic or uploaded by the author). Videos without subtitles, private, or with geographical restrictions cannot be processed.

What difference is there between available summary lengths?

Choose your text length to get a concise summary or a more detailed version.

How do clickable timestamps work?

Every "key moment" identified by AI linked to a YouTube link with timestamp (?t=seconds): clicking it opens the video directly at the specified minute, useful for reviewing a specific passage without manually scrolling.

Can I choose the language of the transcript if the video is in a different language?

You can select between Italian and English the language in which you want the transcript available for that video to be processed. If the video does not have subtitles in the selected language, processing may not work or use the nearest available track.
