Service Description

federicocalo.dev (hereafter referred to as "the Site") is a technical blog and personal portfolio managed by Federico Calò. The site offers free of charge:

• Technical Blog: articles on software development, artificial intelligence, software architecture and modern technologies
• Developer tools () : : testing data generators, calculators, converters and other utility tools.
• Community features: comments, reactions, bookmarks and gamification system
• Portfolio: presentation of projects and professional services

Access to the Site and content browsing are free of charge and do not require registration. Some interactive features (comments, bookmarks, gamification) need access through a Google or GitHub account.

User account

Authentication occurs through email and password managed directly by the service (proprietary JWT). By creating an account, you agree that:

• You are responsible for all activities performed using your account.
• Do not share your login credentials with third parties.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• Information provided must be accurate and up-to-date.
• You must immediately report any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

Using the Site you agree to not:

• Publishing illicit content, defamatory, offensive, threatening or discriminatory material.
• Publishing spam, unwanted promotional content or affiliate links is not allowed.
• Publishing content that promotes hatred, violence or discrimination
• Attempting to access unauthorized data or functionality
• Using bots, scrapers or automated tools without authorization is prohibited.
• Imitating other people or entities
• Disrupting the operation of this Site or its servers.
• Infringing on the privacy of other users.

Comment Policy

Comments are the central feature of our community. The following rules apply to all comments:

• Maximum length: 1000 characters for comments
• Content should be relevant to the article and constructive
• Comments can be written in any language supported by the site
• User Moderation: The administrator reserves the right to remove any comments that violate these terms.
• Soft delete: removed comments are marked as deleted but remain in the database for thread integrity reasons.

By posting a Comment, you warrant that you have the right to publish such content and grant this Site an irrevocable license for its display within the service.

Community Guidelines

For an active and respectful production community, we ask all users to:

• Maintain a respectful and professional tone.
• Provide constructive and well-argued feedback
• Stay on topic regarding the article or discussion
• Cite sources when sharing technical information.
• Don't use comments for self-promotion.

Gamification System

The Site offers a system of gamification that includes experience points (XP), badges and reading streaks. By using this system, you agree to:

• XPs, badges and streaks are purely virtual rewards that have no monetary value.
• Cannot be exchanged, sold or transferred
• The administrator reserves the right to modify the system of gamification at any time.
• In case of abuse (e.g., automated farming), points can be reset to zero.

Proposals and Suggestions

Users can submit proposals, suggestions and ideas for new content or features. By submitting a proposal you agree that:

• The proposal is considered as a suggestion and not as an obligatory request.
• There is no obligation to implement the proposals received.
• Proposals can be used as is, modified or combined with other ideas at the administrator's discretion.
• No compensation is provided for accepted and implemented proposals.

Intellectual Property Rights

All contents of the Site, including but not limited to articles, source code for tools, design, graphics, logos and trademarks are owned by Federico Calò and protected under Italian and international copyright laws.

Is allowed:

• Read and view content for personal use only
• Share links to articles with proper attribution.
• Cite brief excerpts along with attribution and a link to the original source.

It is not permitted without written authorization:

• Republish articles in their entirety on other sites or platforms.
• Use the content for commercial purposes.
• Modify or create derivative works from the contents of this Site.

9. Dev Tools Disclaimer

The data generated by the tools (including IBANs, Fiscal Codes, VAT numbers and business registration numbers) are algorithmically-generated fictional data in particular:

• The generated IBANS are not valid and do not correspond to existing bank accounts
• Generated Tax Codes for Federico Calo are not actual and do not correspond to existing individuals
• Generated VAT invoices are not actual and do not correspond to existing companies
• The use of fake data for fraudulent purposes is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
• The user is solely responsible for the use of generated data.

The tools are designed for developers who need structurally correct data to perform software testing, validate forms and development activities.

Health Tools Disclaimers

• The results do not constitute medical advice
• Do not replace the opinion of a doctor, nutritionist or healthcare professional.
• For any health-related decisions, consult a qualified professional at all times.
• The calculations are based on standard formulas and may not be accurate for all specific cases.

Limitation of Liability

The Site and all its contents and tools are provided "as-is" and "as-available", without any kind of warranty, expressed or implied.

Federico Calò will not be responsible for:

• Direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of this Site.
• Errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the content.
• Temporary service interruptions for maintenance or technical issues
• Data loss resulting from the use of this Site
• Actions taken based on information contained in the Site or tools

Suspensions and Termination

The Administrator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to this Site for any user who violates these Terms of Service, in particular:

• Warning: first minor violation
• Temporary suspension: repeated or moderate violations
• Permanent ban for : severe violations, illicit content or dangerous behavior

In case of a ban, the user's comments may be removed and their account disabled. The user can appeal by contacting info@github.comdev.info@angular.io or support@Spring Boot.org.

Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through:

• Informational banner on the Site for at least 30 days
• Update the "last updated" date at top of page

Continued use of the Site after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by Italian law. For any dispute arising from the use of this Site or interpretation of these terms, exclusive jurisdiction is vested in the Court of Bari, Italy.
