Community Guidelines

Purpose of the community

The community of federicocalo.dev is a space dedicated to constructive technical discussion. Our goal is to create an environment where developers, students and technology enthusiasts can share knowledge, ask questions and learn from each other.

We believe that the most productive discussions arise from mutual respect, intellectual curiosity and a willingness to contribute positively towards everyone's professional growth.

Basic Rules

All members of the community must adhere to the following rules:

Be Respectful

• Treat everyone with respect and courtesy regardless of their level of experience.
• Do not use offensive, vulgar or discriminatory language.
• Avoid making personal attacks and offering unconstructive criticism
• Respect differing opinions from your own even when you disagree.

Stay on Topic

• Comments should be relevant to the topic of the article.
• Stay on topic.
• For general questions use the appropriate channels

No spam allowed

• Do not publish promotional or advertising content.
• Do not share affiliate or referral links.
• Don't post the same comment on multiple articles.
• Do not use comments for unsolicited self-promotion.

No Hate Content

• No discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability or any other personal characteristic.
• No encouragement of violence or bullying.
• No content that can create a hostile environment for any member of the community.

No illegal content allowed

• Do not share copyrighted content without permission.
• Do not promote illicit activities (malicious hacking, piracy, and so on)
• Do not share third-party data without their consent

Guidelines for Comments

To contribute to productive and high-quality discussions:

• Be constructive: when reporting an error or inaccuracy, suggest a correction or useful resource.
• Cite sources: when sharing technical information, indicate the source (official documentation, RFC, paper, etc.)
• Use clear language: avoid excessive jargon and explain technical concepts when necessary
• Share experiences: , share your own stories and practical use cases to enrich the discussion.
• Respond patiently: remember that not everyone has the same level of experience
• Length: comments have a limit of 1000 characters - be concise and focused

Moderation

The site administrator (Federico Calò) reserves the right to fully moderate content in this community, specifically:

• Comments removed are subject to soft deletion (marked as deleted) in order to maintain the integrity of threads.
• Accounts that repeatedly violate the rules may be suspended or banned.
• Moderation decisions are final unless appealed by e-mail.

Moderation is carried out manually by the administrator through the site's administration panel.

Content Reporting

If you encounter a post or content that violates these guidelines, please report it.

• Report this issue through the button available next to each comment for authenticated users
• Report an article by sending an email to info@federicocalo.dev indicating the URL of the post and the reported comment.

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. Reports made in bad faith (for example, reporting legitimate comments for censorship) will be treated as a guideline violation.

Violations of the guidelines are handled by a progressive system:

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was taken unfairly, you can appeal.

• Send an email to info@federicocalo.dev with subject "Moderation Appeal"
• Include your username and a detailed description of the reason for the appeal
• Appeals are reviewed within a working week of seven days
• The appeal ruling is final and binding.
