What are Open Graph tags and what do they serve for?
Open Graph tags (og:* ) control how your pages appear when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn and other social platforms. They define title, description, image and URL of the preview. Without them, platforms arbitrarily select content.
What is the difference between og:image and twitter:image?
Image used by Facebook, LinkedIn and most platforms that support Open Graph is og:image. Twitter uses twitter:image specifically, which can be different. If not specified, Twitter falls back to og:image, so it's often the same value.
How does the URL prefilled work?
Inserting the URL of an existing page, the tool retrieves it through a secure proxy on the server side and automatically extracts title and description from existing HTML tags. This allows you to see current tags and modify them without having to copy them manually.
What to put in the "robots" field?
Field controls search engine behavior on the page. Common values: "index, follow" (default, indexes and follows links), "noindex, nofollow" (does not index or follow), "noindex, follow" (does not index but follows links). Leave blank to omit tag and use default site behavior.
