Why use structured data with Schema.org?

Structured data Schema.org is a common language between Google, Bing and other search engines to describe the content of a page in an unambiguous way. Adding a JSON-LD block to your pages allows crawlers to immediately understand if the page is an article, product, guide or event - opening up Rich Results (enhanced search results in SERP).

Rich Results - star ratings, expanded FAQs sections, step-by-step HowTo guides, event cards, product sheets - not only increase organic visibility but also boost the average CTR by 20–50% compared to standard results, without additional costs. A correct implementation of Schema.org is today one of the most impactful SEO technical foundations, often overlooked.

This generator supports the 6 most commonly used Schema.org types: Article (articles and blog posts), FAQPage (expandable FAQs in SERP), HowTo (procedural guides), LocalBusiness (physical businesses with address), Product (ecommerce product sheets) and Event (physical, online or hybrid events). All client-side, no data sent to external servers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Schema.org and why is it important for SEO?

Schema.org is a shared vocabulary between Google, Bing, Yahoo and Yandex to describe the structural content of a web page through JSON-LD. Schema.org markup enables search engines to better understand content and allows Rich Results (stars, FAQs, events, products) in SERP, increasing CTR by 30-50%.

What is the difference between JSON-LD, Microdata and RDFa?

JSON-LD is the recommended format by Google because it's separate from visible HTML, easier to maintain, and doesn't require changes to existing markup. Microdata and RDFa embed attributes directly into HTML elements, complicating maintenance. Always use JSON-LD for new projects.

Do structured data automatically generate Rich Results?

No - structured data is required but not sufficient. Google decides independently whether to show Rich Results based on site quality, authority, query relevance, and its policies (e.g., star ratings for products require verified reviews). Use Google Search Console to monitor your site's eligibility.

Where do I need to insert the JSON-LD code on the site?

How is the JSON-LD code validated?

Use the Google Rich Results Test (search.google.com/test/rich-results) to verify your Rich Results, or the Schema.org Validator for vocabulary compliance. The generated code respects Schema.org v25.0 and Google Rich Results guidelines.

Can I have more JSON-LD blocks on the same page?

Yes - Google supports more tags <script type="application/ld+json"> on the same page. Use a block per entity type: for example, an Article block for the article and an FAQPage block for related questions. Avoid duplicating the same entity in multiple blocks as it can cause confusion to the parser.
