Suggerimenti
- Nei ristoranti con coperto già incluso, verifica se il "servizio" è già calcolato prima di aggiungere un'ulteriore mancia.

Is tipping allowed in Italy?
Tipping is not mandatory in Italy like it is in the US but is appreciated. The service charge (included) is already common in many restaurants. When the service is good, a tip of 5-10% is a common sign of appreciation.
How is the tip calculated?
Service charge - Charge amount x Percentage / 100. Total with service charge = Bill + Service charge. To split among multiple people: charge per person = Total with service charge / Number of people.
How much is left on the bill at a restaurant in the US?
In the US, a standard tip is 15-20% before tax. Excellent service can reach up to 25%. Not leaving a tip is considered very rude and staff rely mainly on tips for income.
Is tax included in the total?
Tipically the tip is calculated on the subtotal (before taxes) in the US. In Europe, where prices already include taxes, the tip is calculated on the total bill as shown on the menu.
How do I split the bill fairly with friends?
