Suggerimenti

Domande frequenti

What is the grundavdrag?

The grundavdrag (basic deduction) is an automatic deduction that reduces taxable income. It depends on income: up to about SEK 22,200 for low incomes, then stays fixed at SEK 22,200 up to about SEK 155,000, after which it decreases down to a floor of SEK 15,400 for high incomes.

When do you pay statlig inkomstskatt?

The 20% state tax (statlig inkomstskatt) is paid on the part of taxable income (after the grundavdrag) exceeding about SEK 598,500 (2026). Below this threshold you only pay the kommunalskatt.

What is the jobbskatteavdrag?

The jobbskatteavdrag (JSA, employment tax credit) is a tax reduction for employees. It reduces the final tax and can reach about SEK 36,000/year for full incomes. The deduction depends on income and increases with it up to a cap. Its purpose is to make working more rewarding.

What is the pension contribution?

The employee pays 7% of their salary as a general pension contribution. In practice, however, this contribution is deductible via a tax reduction in the return, meaning it effectively does not reduce net pay. The calculator shows it as a separate deduction.

What are the arbetsgivaravgifter?

The arbetsgivaravgifter (employer contributions) are 31.42% of gross salary for people under 66, and 10.21% for those 66 and over. They are paid by the employer on top of the salary and are shown here as a reference to illustrate total labour cost.
