Leggi i risultati
Domande frequenti
How does Naegele's formula work?
Naegele's formula calculates the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) by adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of the Last Menstrual Period (LMP). This is equivalent to subtracting 3 months, adding 7 days, and 1 year from the LMP date.
What is the difference between UPM and conception date?
Last Menstrual Period (LMP) is the first day of the last cycle, preceding ovulation and conception by approximately 14 days. The conception date is the moment of ovule fertilization. Therefore, the LMP duration is 280 days, while from conception it's 266 days.
What is gestational age?
Pregnancy age starts from the UPM, not conception. At 40 weeks of pregnancy, it's considered full-term. The embryo/fetus is about 2 weeks younger than the pregnancy age.
When is the quarterly change?
Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters: the first from week 1 to 12, the second from week 13 to 26, and the third from week 27 to 40. The trimesters do not have exactly uniform durations.
What happens after the assumed birth date?
If not born by the expected date (post-term), the tool shows days of delay. The doctor will evaluate the opportunity for induced labor, which is usually considered after the 41st week.
