Domande frequenti
How is the self-assessment stamp calculated in Italy for 2026?
The IT tax is calculated by multiplying kW by the base tariff (€2.58/kW), applying the Euro multiplier (0.40 to €1) and regional coefficient. For vehicles over 185 kW, a super tax (+€20/kW excess) is added. Electric vehicles are exempt for five years, then pay 25%.
What is the super tax code in Italy?
High emission tax (Article 16, DL 201/2011) is an additional toll for cars with power over 185 kW: +€20 per every kW exceeding. Example: a car at 200 kW pays the high emission tax on 15 kW = €300/year in addition to the regular toll.
How does the German vehicle tax work?
Fuel tax is based on engine size (cm³) and CO2 emissions. Gasoline: €2.00/100cm³; Diesel: €9.50/100cm³. A CO2 surcharge applies above 95 g/km. Electric vehicles are exempt for 10 years.
Are historic vehicles exempt from tolls in Italy?
Yes. Vehicles of historical and collector interest over 30 years old are completely exempt from paying the toll (L. 342/2000 - art. 63).
