Set Credit Hours
Every exam has a weight proportional to its CFU credits. An exam of 12 CFU weighs twice as much as one of 6 CFU. The weighted average takes this difference into account.

Suggerimenti
- A GPA of 3.5 or higher is generally considered excellent in American and British universities.
- For international Master's degree applications, many programs require a GPA equivalent of at least 3.0 (corresponding to approximately 26-30 Italian average grade).
- Add also electives or extracurricular activities if they are worth CFU: contribute to the overall grade.

How does the vote conversion from Italian to GPA work?
Conversion follows a standard international table: 30L and 30 = 4.0, 28-29 = 3.7, 26-27 = 3.3, 24-25 = 3.0, 22-23 = 2.7, 18-21 = 2.0. The final GPA is the weighted average of these values for CFU credits.
What's a weighted average?
Weighted average assigns different weights to each vote based on the exam credits. It is calculated as: (vote × CFU) sum divided by total CFU. An 12-CFU exam has double the impact of a 6-CFU exam.
Does the 30th with praise count differently from the 30th?
In the calculation of weighted Italian average, 30L is treated as 30. However, in GPA American calculation both 30 and 30L are equivalent to a maximum of 4.0. Recognition of honors depends on the institution receiving the evaluation.
Is this conversion officially recognized?
There is no official universal table of conversion between Italian grades and American GPA. The used conversion is the most widely accepted for international university applications, but each institution can apply its own criteria.
Can I add all exams from my study plan?
