How does the optimization algorithm work?

The tool uses a greedy approach with backtracking. It first calculates a composite score for each player (projected fantasy value, reliability, injury risk, potential) then orders by efficiency (score/price) and fills the 25 slots per role: 3P + 8D + 8C + 6A. If budget is insufficient at the end positions, it activates backtracking to select the most cost-effective options.

What does "alternative score" mean?

For each player on the roster, the tool calculates top 3 swap candidates - players of the same role not selected with the highest composite score. Clicking "Swap" shows who could replace them.

Are player data up-to-date?

Projections are based on estimated 2025/26 data. Official quotes vary annually with the Fantasy Football auction. Use this tool as a starting point for your strategy, not as a definitive source of quotes.

What is the difference between Classic and Mantra?

In Classic, each player has a fixed role (P/D/C/A). In Mantra, each player has multiple roles (e.g. Ds can play as Ds or E). Mantra values versatility; a defender who covers both the defensive and midfield roles is more useful in 5-man center back formations.

Is the profile "aggressive" recommended?

Aggressive profile focuses on high potential and elevated fantasy projections, accepting more variability and injury risk. Recommended for those seeking an offensive team with a higher chance of winning the fantasy championship. The conservative approach is preferred by those focusing on consistency.
